I LOVE volleyball in all its forms, both on the beach and indoors!!! ( OBVIOUSLY), I am a dedicated coach with over 21 years of experience, happily married to my wife Crystal, a proud father of two beautiful kids, Elia (9) and Harlow (7)… Also, I try to squeeze in the NFL and MLB whenever possible! Most importantly, I look forward to supporting and coaching the U16-U17 Spike Touch Canadian National Selection All-Star Team, pushing this team to victory, and getting the most out of this fantastic opportunity!

I played volleyball growing up in Edmonton with NAVC form U13-18., and continued my volleyball career as a libero in the NCAA with University of Puget Sound in Seattle Washington. Outside of the court, I am pursuing her Master of Science in Health/sports Psychology at the University of Alberta. Most of all, I am super excited to be a part of Spike Touch and help grow the volleyball community!

TONY CLARKE –DURHAM- CITY SELECTS HEAD COACH – FEMALE ATHLETE SELECTION 2025
ABOUT ME:
Known as an outstanding recruiter and student of the game, Clarke has earned three OCAA coach of the year honours since joining the Lords (2016, 2017, 2019). During the 2017 season, Clarke was also crowned as CCAA coach of the year.
COACHING:

Tony Clarke joined the Durham College women’s volleyball program as head coach in 2014.
-
Heading into his sixth season, the third women's volleyball coach in school history holds a conference record of 80-12 and an overall record of 118-40.

Before coming to Durham, Clarke spent seven seasons as the head coach at Loyalist College before taking on the men's lead role at Trent University.

He took the women's program at Loyalist, which had won just four times the previous year (2005-06), back to the OCAA playoffs with an 11-3 conference record just a year later. In 2008-09, he was named OCAA coach of the year after leading the Lancers to a 17-3 record and a final-four finish at the provincial championship.

Before coaching, Clarke, a Clarington resident, was a member of the Loyalist College Lancers as a student-athlete from 1994-1996, where the Lancers captured an OCAA gold medal in 1995.

During his time at the helm of the coaching staff, Clarke has led the Lords to the final four of the OCAA championship in four of five years - including earning two silver medals (2015, 2017) and a bronze (2019)

I am a dedicated Physical education and Sports Medicine teacher with over 23 years of experience. Most of all, I enjoy developing Volleyball athlete’s potential and have been doing so for the past 16 years at Western Canada High School, leading the Boys’ Volleyball Team selections training and development.

DWAYNE COCHRANE –DURHAM- CITY SELECTS COACH – MALE ATHLETE SELECTION 2025
ABOUT ME:
an NCCP-certified coach with more than 30 years of experience. In addition to coaching, Dwayne is a Level III certified official. He has been a part of the officiating crew of all levels of volleyball from recreation leagues, high school, OCAA, U-Sport, Invictus Games and international competitions. As a player, Dwayne has competed in indoor and beach tournaments from local events to National Championships.
COACHING:
During his time in volleyball, Dwayne has been a Club co-founder and for three terms, an executive member of Durham Attack. With the Club, he has coached both Boys and Girls teams to Provincial and National Championships. Recently, Dwayne was honoured to coach at the Alberta Indigenous Games; a role he looks forward to performing again. In his current coaching role, Dwayne is the Head Coach of the Durham College Lords, Men's Volleyball program.

AUSTIN ELLCHUCK – CALGARY CITY SELECTS COACH – MALE ATHLETE SELECTION 2025
ABOUT AUSTIN:
Austin Ellchuk is a former U SPORTS athlete with seven years of experience competing at the national level with the University of Calgary Dinos Men's Volleyball Team. Throughout his career, he played both as a Libero and a Position 4 Spiker, known for his exceptional ball control, passing, and leadership on the court. His versatility and understanding of the game make him a valuable asset to any athlete or program.
In 2024, Austin expanded his volleyball experience internationally by training with the professional Brazilian club Goiás Vôlei, where he gained insight into high-performance professional training environments. A two-time team captain and five-time Academic All-Canadian, Austin demonstrates the ability to lead both on the court and in the classroom.
